Yesterday my new sausage stuffer arrived, so today I was ready to test it out.
The machine was a little larger than I was expecting, and the only place where I could set it up satisfactorily was on the computer desk in my office.
Once I had created the sausage mix (and fried a little up to confirm that it tasted good) I loaded the cylinder, inserted the piston and started to stuff. It took me a few feet of sausage to get used to the stuffer but it is a great improvement on using a mincer attachment.
The only issue that I have had is that I managed to introduce a little air in to the cylinder – some of the sausages have noticeable air pockets in them – oh well at least they should go with a bang on the BBQ!
